Katie Rush

People & Culture Manager, St. Louis

"My time with Private Home Care has sparked a deep passion for caring for those who care for our clients. The work caregivers do is incredibly important but is sometimes undervalued. Private Home Care recognizes this and treats our caregivers as the professionals they are. We are constantly striving for new ways to train, reward, and challenge the status quo for our caregivers. Our clients are the purpose of our work, but our caregivers are why we can do what we do. It is truly inspiring to see the work they do daily. The environment Private Home Care cultivates for our caregivers allows them to come to work happy and satisfied – which in turn nurtures superior care for our clients."

Katie graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Communications and Speech and Hearing Science. After graduation, she pursued business management for a few years, during which she learned a lot about her leadership style. However, Katie had yet to find true passion in her work. Eventually, she discovered home care and joined our team as People and Culture Manager. In this role, Katie can combine her passion for interpersonal relationships and helping others with her team-building and management background. She embodies our core values and mission, making her a perfect fit for her leadership role.

Katie resides in South St. Louis with her high school sweetheart and three beloved pups. She has a big family, including one niece, five nephews, and another on the way. She loves visiting with them any chance she gets. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and likes to walk in Missouri Botanical Garden and attend Illini football games. Katie has really enjoyed her move to St. Louis and likes to take advantage of all the city offers. Her favorite St. Louis staple so far is Clementine's ice cream, though fried ravioli comes in a very close second.
