For four decades, Teryl has embodied what it means to be a dedicated caregiver. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), her career predominantly spans in-home caregiving, but she also has experience as a cleaning assistant. Teryl's longest client relationship lasted an exceptional eight years, a testament to her unwavering commitment, consistency, love, and determination.
What sets Teryl apart is her holistic approach to caregiving. She believes maintaining open communication with clients and their families is crucial, often discussing planned activities and other aspects contributing to a fulfilling life. Beyond medical assistance, Teryl emphasizes social engagement, arriving at her clients' homes with books, cards, and games in hand. She is passionate about ensuring her clients experience the highest quality of life and are actively engaged in their communities.
Teryl's professional expertise includes experience with dementia, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and mobility impairment. She is adept at administering both catheter and personal care, and her work in hospice care has equipped her with the emotional resilience required to provide compassionate end-of-life support.
Despite her professional accomplishments, Teryl considers becoming a mother her proudest achievement. Beyond her caregiving role, Teryl is also a woman of varied interests, enjoying poetry writing and dancing in her free time. These artistic pursuits offer her a creative outlet and lend a unique sensitivity to her caregiving.
